North East Lincolnshire
20th August 2019
A woman and a man have been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods in Grimsby, thanks to a member of the public who overheard them speaking about their haul.
The pair who are both from the town were caught in an alleyway behind Rutland Street yesterday Monday 19 August around 11am.
A member of the public called police, we attended and made the arrests.
The man, who’s 42, was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a class B drug, theft and burglary.
He’s been bailed. The woman who is 36, has been released under investigation.
Jewellery and a laptop were recovered, and we’re now wanting to trace the owner. Photographs of the goods can be found below.
Do they belong to you? Do you know who they might belong to?
