Three people taken to hospital after house fire on the Willows Estate
Emergency services were called out to a serious house fire on Byland Grove in Grimsby in the early hours of this morning
The fire services were called out this morning around 1.50am to deal with a fire that had broken out at a house on Byland Grove Grimsby.
Neighbouring houses had to be evacuated as the emergency services brought the fire under control.
Neighbours were told to evacuate their properties and described how the fire could be seen coming out of the roof of the building and its windows.
It is understood that a man, two teenagers and a child were in the house at the time of the fire, with one of the teenagers said to have suffered a suspected broken leg after jumping from a bedroom window.
A Humberside fire service spokesperson said: “We received a call at around 1.50am this morning reporting a house fire on Byland Grove.
“We sent three appliances to the scene, where firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control.
“This is still an ongoing incident and our fire investigation officers remain at the scene as they try to establish the cause of the fire.”
Neighbours in the grove were amazed how quickly the fire service brought the blaze under control and out the fire out.
Fire Service investigation teams remain at the property.
