It happened around 2.20am this morning a man was seriously injured after being attacked and robbed.
Police have a released an update to the incident that took place in the early hours of this morning.
A man was attacked at a property on Rutland street and suffered serious injuries after being stabbed and assaulted by a group of men.
Humberside police released this statement earlier regarding the incident.
A man has sustained serious injuries in a robbery which took place at 2.20am today (Monday 14 October) on Rutland Street in Grimsby.
The victim has knife wounds to his chest and arms and head injuries following the assault. Witnesses state that a group of around four men and youths attacked the victim in the street.
We are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 37 14/10/19.

CSI and Police have been in scene throughout the night and morning gathering evidence
One residents said: “There were some guys on bikes with their faces covered.
“I heard them kicking at the door and the house so I looked out of my window. “Someone was on the floor being kicked by a group of people. After that there was a person running down the street with a knife, I don’t know if they were chasing the others off or what.
“So I called the police and they arrived soon after, the ambulance arrived not long after that too.
“I think it was just the one person that was hurt. They haven’t been in the house long, people are always coming and going on this street, I think it’s getting worse.”
Four people have been arrested after a man suffered serious injuries following a street fight on Freeman Street.
Humberside Police were called to the street in Grimsby’s East Marsh, at the junction of Albert Street West, after receiving reports of a violent altercation taking place in the street involving at least two men.

A man has sustained lacerations during the incident where criminal damage was caused to a convenience store on Freeman Street.
“Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident and a man remains in hospital.
“We are appealing for witnesses to the incident and would ask for anyone who saw anything that would help with our investigation to call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 665 02/10/19.”
