Serious assault on man in tent

Can you help with any information following serious assault on man in tent in Garden Street 

A man was taken to hospital for treatment after he was allegedly assaulted by two men in Grimsby.

It happened around 8.30pm on Monday 9 December off Garden Street behind the Iceland supermarket. 

It’s thought the suspects assaulted the victim, who lives in a tent, with a blunt instrument. 

It left him with injuries to his head, arms, and back. The man was treated in hospital and has since been discharged. 

We are looking for any witnesses or anyone who might have any information to contact us.

A homeless man is in a coma after being attacked and possibly stabbed in Grimsby town centre.

Humberside Police were called to Garden Street at  around 8pm last night after receiving calls that a man had been attacked by two masked men with what is believed to have been knives.

The incident is understood to have taken place in small area opposite Abbeygate car park were homeless people often stay.

The two attackers are reported to have been wearing balaclavas during the attack.

Following the attack, the injured man is believed to have made his way to McDonald’s in Victoria Street with the help of others, where the police and Paramedics and Ambulance services were called.

The victim was treated by paramedics at the restaurant before being taken to Hull Royal Infirmary.

It is understood that he has been placed in an induced coma due to the severity of his injuries.

The victim is believed to be a homeless man living in Grimsby town centre.

Two Men Arrested After Stabbing On Oxford Street Last Night

Two Men aged 45yrs and 21yrs are in Custody

Two men have been arrested in connection with a serious incident last night on Oxford Street Grimsby.

A man suffered numerous knife wounds after being attacked.

The men arrested are aged 45 and 21yrs old they remain custody while investigations continue.

Police recieved the call around 7.40pm last night to reports of a serious incident.

Armed response vehicles dog section and paramedics arrived on scene to deal with the injured man.

Police update Appeal for witnesses to robbery on Rutland Street, Grimsby

It happened around 2.20am this morning a man was seriously injured after being attacked and robbed.

Police have a released an update to the incident that took place in the early hours of this morning.

A man was attacked at a property on Rutland street and suffered serious injuries after being stabbed and assaulted by a group of men.

Humberside police released this statement earlier regarding the incident.

A man has sustained serious injuries in a robbery which took place at 2.20am today (Monday 14 October) on Rutland Street in Grimsby.

The victim has knife wounds to his chest and arms and head injuries following the assault.  Witnesses state that a group of around four men and youths attacked the victim in the street.

We are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 37 14/10/19.

One residents said: “There were some guys on bikes with their faces covered.

“I heard them kicking at the door and the house so I looked out of my window. “Someone was on the floor being kicked by a group of people. After that there was a person running down the street with a knife, I don’t know if they were chasing the others off or what.

“So I called the police and they arrived soon after, the ambulance arrived not long after that too.

“I think it was just the one person that was hurt. They haven’t been in the house long, people are always coming and going on this street, I think it’s getting worse.”

Four arrested after man suffered serious assault last night on Freeman st.

Four people have been arrested after a man suffered serious injuries following a street fight on Freeman Street.

Humberside Police were called to the street in Grimsby’s East Marsh, at the junction of Albert Street West, after receiving reports of a violent altercation taking place in the street involving at least two men.

Humberside police started they were called to an incident on Freeman street on the 2nd of October 2019

A man has sustained lacerations during the incident where criminal damage was caused to a convenience store on Freeman Street.

“Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident and a man remains in hospital.

“We are appealing for witnesses to the incident and would ask for anyone who saw anything that would help with our investigation to call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 665 02/10/19.”

Jamie Furnell, 27, of Hildyard Street, Grimsby, appeared in custody in connection with the incidents.

He is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, two offences of assault causing actual bodily harm and making threats to kill on June 21.

He is also charged with two offences of assaulting an emergency worker – two police officers – and damaging a door panel.

The case was sent to Grimsby Crown Court for a hearing on July 22.

Furnell was remanded in to custody until the next hearing.
