Appeal for witnesses after three people die in road traffic collision

North Lincolnshire

Three people have died in a road traffic collision in North Lincolnshire that happened on the A1077 between South Ferriby and Barton interchange on Sunday 17 November. 

Emergency services were called around 11am to the incident that involved a black Toyota Celica and a white Peugeot 3008. 

Three men who were in the Toyota sadly died. Officers are currently trying to trace the men’s next of kin. 

A woman and a man who were in the Peugeot both sustained serious injuries and are still receiving treatment in hospital. Their families have been informed.

Sergeant Rob Mazingham from Humberside Police’s serious collision unit said: “This was a very serious collision which has very sadly resulted in the deaths of three men, and left a woman and another man in a serious condition.

“I now have officers working hard to find the families of the three men. I am also appealing to anyone who might have seen anything around the time of the collision, or the vehicles beforehand, to contact us.

“We will provide further details regarding this incident when we can.”

Cyclist taken to hospital after being hit by car near Tesco Hewitts circus junction

The accident happened around 5.25 today.

A cyclist was knocked off their bike earlier this evening . It happened at the Tesco Hewitts circus junction.

At this time it’s not known what make of car hit the cyclist.

Police, Along with nearby car showroom staff were on the scene to help control traffic flow.

Traffic was slow moving as one lane leading off tesco was closed off while the police dealt with the incident.

The cyclist had been treated at the scene by East Midlands Ambulance service before our arrival, Before its believed he was taken to the hospital.

It is believed at this time, That the cyclists injuries are not thought to be serious.

The junction reopened around 5.55pm .

More details will follow if they’re given.

Car lands on roof after crashing at the Nuns corner roundabout

It happened around 7.50pm at Laceby Road junction.

A dark coloured VW Polo ended up on its earlier tonight after crashing at the Nuns corner roundabout with the junction of Laceby road.

Police and ambulance services were on the scene dealing with the Rtc.

The road was still blocked off at 9.45pm as the recovery vehicle was waiting to recover the vehicle.

Two people were taken to hospital as a precaution.

At this time the injuries are not believed to be serious.

There was a Road Traffic Collision involving one moving vehicle and one stationary vehicle on Laceby  road  Grimsby  last night.

 

 It was reported  that One adult female driver was released from a vehicle by Humberside Fire Service using manipulation. The female was suffering with minor injuries and was treated by paramedics on scene.

 

After being treated at the scene she was put in to an ambulance to be treated.

Humberside police were on scene dealing with the incident and after receiving treatment in the ambulance,  A police officer was seen going in to the ambulance with a breathalyser kit  and shortly after the female driver escorted to a police vehicle. 

A member of the public who lives nearby told us,

That the Crash on Laceby Road was around 9.50pm 31.08.19.

A lady driver crashed her vauxhall corsa into a parked car a Peugeot 206, two fire appliances, two ambulances, 4 police cars were at the scene.

As soon as it happened I heard a loud bang and went outside to see the Vauxhall on its side.

I asked if there was any one else involved, which there wasn’t. Me and 5 others tried to get the lady out whilst someone was on the phone to the police and the paramedics.

I then saw cars coming from both ways, so I decided to take charge in that and help guide the traffic safely. then the ambulance turned up and police and then the fire brigade.

Four car shunt earlier on Fredrick ward way.

Four vehicles involved in a shunt earlier today police were on scene to deal with the accident

There was a four vehicle shunt earlier this afternoon on Fredrick ward way.

It’s unknown why the four cars crashed in to each other.

There didnt look to be any injuries or severe damage to any of the vehicles and Humberside police officers were there to help the drivers out.

Collision on A180, did you see the van involved?

North East Lincolnshire

At around 8.15pm on Friday 14 June a grey Vauxhall Combo van left the A180 at Stallingborough near Grimsby.

The van was travelling west on the A180 when it left the road.  The driver fled the scene of the collision and has not made contact with the police since.  No other vehicle was involved in the collision.

If you were the driver of this vehicle or you saw it travelling west-bound on the A180 before it left the road we want to hear from you.

A man we believed may have suffered injuries after a road traffic collision in Grimsby in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, 5 June) has now been located and is receiving treatment in hospital.

The collision occurred between a silver Ford Focus and a black Suzuki SX4 at the junction of Littlefield Lane and Dudley Street around 2am.

A woman in the Suzuki suffered serious injuries to her wrist and abdomen and was taken to hospital. A man in the same car sustained minor injuries. 

Arrests have been made in connection to aggravated vehicle taking of the Focus.
