Officers from Grimsby have carried out a drugs warrant at an address on Kingsgate Mews today as part of our continued commitment to tackling drug related crime.

Officers found a quantity of weapons, drugs paraphernalia, cash, suspected class A drugs, with an estimated street value of in excess of £5,000, and class B drugs at the address.

Three people, two men and one woman, were arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Inspector Paul Bennett said, “The impact that drugs and drug related crime can have on a community cannot be underestimated and is something we take incredibly seriously.

“The drugs that we have seized today will now never see the streets, helping to disrupt the supply in Grimsby and further afield.

“Today’s warrant came as a result of information given to us by the local community , I want to thank people for coming forward and sharing their information with us.

“We will continue carrying out warrants, seizing drugs and making arrests wherever we have information about people being involved in drugs to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour.

Large drugs find in Harold street this morning

A large amount of police officers, Detectives and CSI Investigators turned up at a former garage on Harold street Grimsby this morning.

Its believed the building is holding a large cannabis grow.

Police have released this statement.

Officers discovered hundreds of suspected cannabis plants at an address on Harold Street in Grimsby following reports of antisocial behaviour in the area shortly after 8.30pm yesterday, Sunday 6 October.

Detective Inspector Kerry Bull said: “This is a great result, as there were approximately 500 plants inside the property which we have now seized, preventing them from being used in crime and antisocial behaviour.

“Whilst no arrests have been made at this time, an investigation has been launched to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting log 527 of 06/10/19 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.” 

Drugs warrant on Grafton Street

Officers in Grimsby have arrested a man on suspicion of drugs offences after a warrant was carried out at an address on Grafton Street this morning. A large amount of suspected drugs were also recovered from the address.

The warrant was carried out by officers from our Criminal Investigation Department supported by officers from our Special Constabulary.

Detective Sergeant Tom Kelly from our Criminal Investigation Department said: “We are committed to tackling drug crime in North East Lincolnshire.

“Today’s warrant is another great result for both us and our communities with one in custody and a considerable amount of drugs taken off our streets.

“I understand the impact that drugs and drug related crime and anti-social behaviour can have on a community, which is why it is important that we continue to work together to tackle it.

Warrant executed in Willingham street Grimsby – one man arrested

The National Crime Agency, in partnership with Humberside Police, have executed a warrant at a property on Willingham Street, Grimsby.

The result of this warrant is one man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.  He is currently in custody under investigation.

Local neighbourhood officers will be completing patrols in the area over the next few days to provide reassurance to the public.

Plastic eggs found full of class A drugs recovered from Grimsby gardens

These were found on Friday 19th July after man ran away from police

Plastic eggs full of suspected Class A drugs have been recovered from the streets of #Grimsby – along with mobile phones and cash.

The suspected heroin and crack cocaine were discovered in a garden in Eleanor St on Friday after a man ran from officers.


We gave chase & a number of wraps of what are suspected to be Class B drugs, £404 in cash and 2 mobile phones were found in gardens in Heneage Road.

In the neighbouring garden we found 2 plastic eggs containing a total of 64 wraps of what we believe to be heroin and cocaine.


A 46-year-old local man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of being in possession of Class B and C drugs. He has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.


The seizure came just hours after we carried out a warrant at a property in Duncombe Street.
Sgt Dan Healey said: “A number of you had been in touch to raise concerns about drug-related crime in the area and we have listened.


“On this occasion, we didn’t find any evidence of criminal behaviour at the property. However, we will continue to monitor the situation and work with the community to tackle this kind of offending.”

Cash, drugs and weapons recovered in warrant

Cash, weapons, mobile phones and what is believed to be a quantity of amphetamines have been recovered from a house in Manchester Street, Cleethorpes, following a drugs warrant at the property earlier today (Thursday, June 13).

A 35-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drug with intent to supply and a 24-year-old woman has also been taken into custody in connection with the warrant.

Officers remain at the property and our enquiries are continuing.

PC Dave Cave, the Community Beat Manager for Haverstoe, Humberston and New Waltham, said: “We and our colleagues from the dogs unit carried out the warrant at the property earlier today and have recovered a number of items, including a replica firearm, cash and what we suspect to be Class A drugs.

“We know that drug-related crime can have a huge impact on our communities and that’s why we dealing with it is such a key area of our work.

“We want it to be known that this kind of offending won’t be tolerated in our area and we will do everything we can to find and prosecute those who are involved.

“Information from the public can be vital in helping us to put together successful operations such as this one and my appeal to you is to keep it coming.

“We gather information whilst we’re out on patrol but we can’t be everywhere and that’s where your help is so important.

“You know what’s going on in your area and we want people to carry on letting us know if something doesn’t seem to be right so that we can take action and take drugs off our streets.”
