Another Attempted Robbery At Todays Local Grimsby Rd Cleethorpes

Its believed to have happened around 8.00pm At the store on the junction of Bennett Rd.

Its believed that the Todays Local convenience was targeted around 8pm last night.

Police could be seen inside the store interviewing the female shop assistant and manager.

Police could be seen searching the surrounding area of the shop.

CSI were also at the store to collect evidence

Police were also seen knocking on neighbouring properties to see if anyone had seen anything.

Humberside police reported that a teenage boy entered the shop, allegedly carrying a knife, and spoke to a member of staff. The staff member challenged him and he left immediately, walking in the direction of Isaacs Hill.

“Nobody was injured in the incident and nothing was taken from the shop.”

She added: “The boy is described as being around 5ft 5ins tall, of medium build and was wearing a black ski type mask over the bottom of his face, a black hoody with the hood pulled up and black joggers.

“Officers are in the area today, carrying out enquiries and we would encourage anyone with any concerns to speak to them.”

The Todays local store on Farebrother street Grimsby has been cordoned off tonight, Following what’s believed to have been some sort of attempted robbery.

This hasn’t been confirmed as yet by police.

The store has been targeted in the past with other attempts at robbing the store.

Shaun Lyall murder investigation – man arrested and charged

A 45-year-old man from Grimsby has today been charged in connection with the death of Shaun Lyall in Cleethorpes last year. 

Shaun (left) who was 47 was found dead at a house on Sidney Street on 17 July 2018. 

Today Craig Whittle, 45, from Corporation Road in Grimsby has been charged with five offences including assisting an offender in relation to the death of Shaun Lyall in Cleethorpes.

He’s also been charged with affray, possession of a knife in a public place, and two counts of possession of a class A drug with intent to supply – namely heroin and cocaine. 

These are in relation to an incident in Blackpool on 13 July 2018. 

Craig Whittle is due before Grimsby Magistrates Court tomorrow.

We are still looking for another suspect in connection with the murder of Mr Lyall. Extensive investigations have been ongoing for Abdi Ali who is now 29-years-old. 

Abdi Ali (below) is originally from Somalia and has links to the Grimsby area, Sheffield, London, Lancashire, South Yorkshire, Merseyside, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Lincolnshire, and Cleveland.

Kelly Wilson was involved in an exorcism and left critically ill

Woman was trying to rid herself of evil demons in her body.

A woman left critically ill in hospital was involved in an ‘exorcism’ to get rid of ‘evil spirits’ haunting her body.

Former NHS nurse Kelly Wilson suffered organ failure in the incident which it is claimed was to remove supernatural spirits or demons from her body.

Miss Wilson’s partner, Hossam Metwally, an anaesthetist at Grimsby’s Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, appeared in court yesterday charged with causing GBH and administering a noxious substance.

The charges in court related to incidents that are believed to have taken place at the Lincs Pain Clinic in Laceby Road between Tuesday, July 2 and Friday, July 5.

Dr Hossam Metwally, 58, appeared at Grimsby magistrates yesterday morning 8 July of and entered no pleas.

Metwally appeared emotionless in court, dressed in a grey shirt with black and brown glasses, where he confirmed his name, address and nationality as British.

Members of his family and friends were also present in the courtroom.

The charges were outlines by Martin Howarth, prosecuting. Metwally was represented by Sunny Dhinsa.

Remanded to appear in court in August

Mr Dhinsa requested bail and suggested a number of conditions that could be applied. However, this was refused.

He was remanded in to custody to appear at Grimsby crown court in August.

Dr Kate Wood, medical director at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust, said: “I can confirm a member of staff at the Trust has been charged with GBH and administering a noxious substance. He will be excluded from working at all Trust premises.”

Police were alerted by hospital staff, who were concerned for the safety of the woman. She was described as being in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

Police and CSI were still at the clinic over the weekend.
