Another car crashes and flips on Brereton Ave Cleethorpes last night

It happened around 12.20 am near the junction of Pendreth Place.

There was another car crash on Brereton ave last night.  

The red car ended up on its side after hitting another car. Witnesses said there was a male and female who left the vehicle after the accident.

Witnesses also said, The male from out of the car waited at the scene and its believed he passed a roadside breathalyser.

The female from the car was heard asking, could someone get her a taxi as she needed to be home for her kids. .

Its is believed the police didn’t arrive until a around a hour after,But this hasn’t been confirmed.

Armed police swoop on Brereton Ave house last night after gun seen during drug deal

Armed police with K9 unit police vans decended on a house around 10pm last night after a gun was spotted during drug deal.

Armed police with K9 dog unit decended on a house on Brereton Ave Cleethorpes last night at around 10pm.

Two armed response vehicles and the K9 unit with police Van’s blocked off the road from Ward st to Combe st after reports of a gun being seen during a drugs deal.

Armed officers could be heard shouting at occupants of the property to come out with their hands above their heads.

No one would come out at first, At around 10.20pm the first male was out and was led away to the awaiting police van at the junction of Combe st.

Officers then carried on shouting for the other occupants to come out.

Eventually, Three more males were brought out an taken in to awaiting police Van’s in to custody .

Armed police entered the house to search and make sure all were accounted for then left the area.

Its believed those arrested were involved in firearms offences.

The incident lasted around two hours before the cordon was lifted around 11.45pm and people were allowed back to their houses.

Officers in Cleethorpes were approached by a concerned member of the public shortly after 7.30pm yesterday, reporting that he had witnessed what he thought to be a drug deal taking place involving three men on Brereton Avenue, Cleethorpes.  

“The man also reported that he had seen what he believed was a small handgun on one of the men’s waistbands. 

“Officers attended and four men were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm. All four remain in our custody at this time whilst our enquiries continue.  

“I ask anyone with information, that has not already spoken to us, to call 101 quoting log 598 of 18/07/19.”
