Multiple arrests for boys including moped theft, burglary and possession of a knife

Two children have been arrested after officers received a report that a motorbike had been stolen during a burglary at a property in Grimsby . 

We received a report last night Monday 28 October around 9pm that some teenagers had been seen hanging around a moped on Armstrong Street. The bike was believed to have been stolen earlier in the night.

When a member of the public approached the group, one of the boys is reported to have swung what’s been described as a blade at him. The man wasn’t injured. 

Officers quickly attended and arrested the two 16-year-olds. 

One of them was arrested on suspicion of the attempted theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a knife. He was also arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop and a section 4 public order offence in relation to an earlier incident. 

The other was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, and criminal damage.

Both the boys are still in our custody.

Graphic CCTV footage released to try and ID three men following Grimsby attack

We are releasing CCTV footage of an assault and attempted robbery on a man at the Fisherman’s Wharf in Grimsby on Monday 9 September at around 8.15pm.

We are appealing for help to identify the men shown in this CCTV footage.  We also have captured stills from the footage, which we know are not the greatest quality but hopefully along with the footage might help people ID them.

“He suffered cuts and bruising to his head and body and is still struggling to come to terms with the attack.

“We have followed up a number of lines of enquiry since the incident and are now asking for help to ID the men shown in this footage, if you can help please give me a call.”

Woman suffers head injuries during alleged assault in Cleethorpes

An 18-year-old woman was taken to hospital with a slight bleed on the brain following an alleged assault in Cleethorpes on Sunday 25 August. 

The incident happened in Dolphin Gardens in Sea Road around 5.30am. 

It was reported that the woman was knocked unconscious after being assaulted by a man. 

She has now left hospital where she was being kept under observation by medical staff. 

We arrested a suspect who was nearby at the time in connection with this. He’s been released under investigation. We’re now appealing for more witnesses to come forward.

The description of the man is that he was white, around 5 feet 10, wearing a green jacket with an orange logo and walked with a limp.

Update to assault on Cobden street Freeman street last night

Police and East Midlands ambulance service were called around 9.45pm after reports of an assault.

A woman is believed to have assaulted last night on Cobden street near to Freeman street.

Police and the ambulance service arrived on the scene and police cordoned off parts of the street.

The woman was placed into the ambulance to receive treatment before being taken away to hospital for more treatment.

A Humberside Police spokesperson , ” stated We are currently investingating an alleged assault of a woman in Cobden street/ Freeman street around 9.40pm last night Sunday 28 July

The woman had a open head wound and was taken to hospital for further treatment.

Did you see Altercation in Osbourne Street Cleethorpes!

We’re appealing for witnesses after two men suffered facial injuries that are believed to be serious but not life threatening in an altercation in Cleethorpes on Sunday 7 July. 

The injuries reportedly happened in the carpark off Osbourne Street at around 4am when a group of people allegedly began fighting. 

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault and GBH following the incident, he has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

Teenager charged following assault on Alexandra Road


9 June

A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with assault following an incident in Grimsby on Friday 5 July.

It was reported that a man and woman were walking along Alexandra Road at around 10pm when they passed a group of teenagers. 

The group and the pair spoke to each other, before one of the teenagers allegedly assaulted the man.

The 15-year-old has been bailed to appear at Grimsby Youth Court next month. 

Seven-year-old assaulted by teenagers in Grimsby park

A 7-year-old boy was allegedly elbowed in the face and spat on by three teenagers in a park in Grimsby at the weekend.

It was reported to have happened in Grant Thorold Park on Durban Road near the children’s play area around 5.30pm on Sunday 23 June.

The boy was in the park with his mother and siblings when the alleged assault took place.

The teenagers were all boys and possibly aged between 16 and 18 years old. They were wearing dark clothing and were all riding bikes. Two were on black bicycles and the third was on an orange one.

The boy suffered a bruise to his forehead. It’s thought racially abusive terms were also said to the 7-year-old who is from eastern Europe.

Can you help with our investigations?

We are investigating the assault of a man at around 6.45pm on 7 May 2019 in Weelsby Woods in Grimsby.  As part of this ongoing enquiry we are now appealing for witnesses that might have been in the park at the time and saw the incident.

The victim was approached by a group of men who are alleged to have punched and kicked him to the ground. leaving him with bruising and cuts.
