Plastic eggs found full of class A drugs recovered from Grimsby gardens
These were found on Friday 19th July after man ran away from police
Plastic eggs full of suspected Class A drugs have been recovered from the streets of #Grimsby – along with mobile phones and cash.
The suspected heroin and crack cocaine were discovered in a garden in Eleanor St on Friday after a man ran from officers.
We gave chase & a number of wraps of what are suspected to be Class B drugs, £404 in cash and 2 mobile phones were found in gardens in Heneage Road.
In the neighbouring garden we found 2 plastic eggs containing a total of 64 wraps of what we believe to be heroin and cocaine.
A 46-year-old local man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of being in possession of Class B and C drugs. He has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
The seizure came just hours after we carried out a warrant at a property in Duncombe Street.
Sgt Dan Healey said: “A number of you had been in touch to raise concerns about drug-related crime in the area and we have listened.
“On this occasion, we didn’t find any evidence of criminal behaviour at the property. However, we will continue to monitor the situation and work with the community to tackle this kind of offending.”
