Man charged following car park robbery

A man has been charged with robbery after a woman allegedly had a sentimental necklace stolen from around her neck in a supermarket car park in Grimsby.

It happened in the Aldi car park on Cleethorpe Road around 3pm on Saturday 18 May.

The 53yr woman suffered minor injuries following the robbery.

Police appealed for information to try and find the suspect.

Following information received from the public the police made an arrest.

The man- 27yr old Ross Hollington from Cleethorpe Road Grimsby has now been charged with robbery and has already appeared in court.

The necklace, which is described as a silver charm necklace with four discs inscribed with the names of children and two other charms, has not yet been found.
