Nurse partner from Laceby pain clinic still in critical condition

Dr Hossam Metwally, 58, appeared at Grimsby magistrates yesterday morning 8 July of and entered no pleas.


This follows a nurse being taken to hospital in a serious unresponsive state on Friday evening
The nurse who is a director also at the practice.
The Doctor who works at the Diana Princess of Wales has been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm and administering noxious substance
Metwally appeared emotionless in court, dressed in a grey shirt with black and brown glasses, where he confirmed his name, address and nationality as British.
Members of his family and friends were also present in the courtroom.
The charges were outlines by Martin Howarth, prosecuting. Metwally was represented by Sunny Dhinsa.

Mr Dhinsa requested bail and suggested a number of conditions that could be applied. However, this was refused.
He was remanded in to custody to appear at Grimsby crown court in August.
